The Wang Lixue 王理学

Paul Peng
Wang Lixue (1893 – ?), a native of Henan Province.

Also known as the White-Robed Taoist. He was fond of listening to the teachings of Laozi and Zhuangzi since childhood.

When he grew up, he had no intention of pursuing an official career, so he became a Taoist monk at Wudang Mountain, studying under Xu Benshan. He resided in the Qing Hall of Chaoyang Cave and was a fellow disciple of Liu Lishan.

Lixue was also proficient in medical skills and the study of I Ching (The Book of Changes), and his poems and prose were fresh and elegant.

He wrote Records of Wudang Scenery (Volume 1).

After 1949, he devoted himself to the establishment of the Chinese Taoist Association.

Paul Peng is a Zhengyi Taoist priest from Longhu Mountain, Jiangxi — the ancestral home of the Celestial Masters' tradition. Ordained at 25 after a dream from the Celestial Master, he has practiced for 25 years under Master Zeng Guangliang. He is one of the curators of this store, which is officially authorized by Tianshi Fu. All items are consecrated at the temple by the resident priest team.
