Wang Ruohai was a figure during the Jianlong era of the Song Dynasty.
He was granted the title "Master Chongxuan" and awarded a golden-lined purple sash (a symbol of high honor in ancient China).

He served as the abbot of Taiyi Palace on Mount Hua and held the position of Dharma Master of the Three Great Scenic Grottoes of the Shangqing Tradition.
