The Xuanwu Emperor Lamp Rites

The author is unknown.

It was probably compiled in the late Yuan Dynasty or early Ming Dynasty.
Consisting of one scroll, it is included in the Weiyi (Rituals and Etiquette) category of The Dongzhen Section in the Daoist Canon.

As one of the Taoist lamp rituals, this text is used for praying for blessings and eliminating disasters. Practitioners light lamps to worship "Zhenwu, the Supreme Emperor of Xuantian, the True Lord Who Guards Heaven in the North Pole" as well as various immortals and spiritual officials, perform rituals of reverence and eulogy, and make declarations and vows. By doing so, they can "seek hundreds of blessings, eliminate thousands of calamities", absolve sins, and extend life.
