The Zheng Yi Tian Shi Gao Zhao Sheng Kou Jue 正一天师告赵升口诀

The Oral Instructions of the Orthodox Unity Celestial Master Imparted to Zhao Sheng (Zheng Yi Tian Shi Gao Zhao Sheng Kou Jue) has an unknown author.

Judging from its content, it was presumably compiled during the Northern and Southern Dynasties.

This text is purportedly the teachings imparted by Zhang Ling, the Orthodox Unity Celestial Master, to his disciple Zhao Sheng.

It states that because the Six Heavens were in disorder, Lord Laozi transmitted the Way of the Orthodox Unity Alliance of Mystical Powers to Zhang Daoling, instructing him to establish the Fourteen Preceptories to reform those who practiced heretical customs. Lord Laozi also bestowed the Yellow and Old Red Talisman upon the seed people to facilitate their cultivation of immortality. Later, as those who wore the Yellow and Old Talisman and held official positions slandered one another, corrupted the pure texts, and amassed wealth greedily, Lord Laozi issued the Supreme Mysterious Nine-Light Myriad-Incantation Life-Giving Talisman to re-screen the seed people. All who received this talisman would be recognized as seed people: the living could attain immortality, while the deceased could achieve celestial ascension through corpse dissolution and be reborn.
