The Zhu Yuliang 朱宇亮

Zhu Yuliang (1887-1961), a native of Suizhou, Hubei Province.

Poverty-stricken since childhood, he fled famine to Wudang Mountain and entered the Huangjing Hall of Taihe Palace to study Taoism.

Diligent and progressive in learning, he was secretly taught the prescription of Wudang Mountain's Eight-Treasure Purple-Gold Ingots.

In 1911, he was promoted to abbot of the Huangjing Hall. Due to the excellent curative effect of the Purple-Gold Ingots he made, which brought abundant funds, he renovated the Huangjing Hall and the Huanglong Cave Taoist Courtyard, and purchased farmland to meet the daily needs of the Taoist temple.

In 1928, he angrily killed a local tyrant and fled.

In 1932, he returned to Wudang Mountain and resumed his post as abbot of the Huangjing Hall.

He later passed away at Fuzhen Temple.
