Wang Jichang's Poetic Commentary on the Sheng Tian Jing
This work is a commentary on The Scripture of Ascending to Heaven and Attaining the Dao Preached by Yuanshi Tianzun (Primeval Heavenly Lord). The commentary is composed in the form of seven-character quatrain odes, explaining the meaning of the scripture verse by verse. Centered on the tenet of dual cultivation of nature and life, it advocates pure and tranquil mind cultivation and touches upon Internal Alchemy cultivation. Its doctrines are rooted in the teachings of the Quanzhen Dao.
