Yuanyangzi's Odes on the Yin Fu Jing

Originally titled "Odes by Yuanyangzi". Yuanyangzi was presumably an Internal Alchemy Taoist priest of the Tang Dynasty.

Tongzhi·Yiwen Lue (Comprehensive Records of Literature and Arts) cataloged Yuanyangzi’s Odes on the Yinfu Jing as a one-volume text, which is presumably this work.

The surviving version is included in the Zan Song (Eulogies and Odes) category of The Dongzhen Section in The Daozang.

Yuanyangzi's Odes on the Yin Fu Jing

Based on the 300-character version, the scripture is divided into three chapters. After each line of the scripture, the author appended a four-line heptasyllabic ode, all of which interpret and elaborate on the scripture’s meaning through the purport of practicing Internal Alchemy.
