Taoism is China's indigenous religion. Its purpose is to achieve the state of harmony between humans and nature through physical cultivation and the utilization of nature, thereby seeking health and longevity, and transcending the secular world to become an "immortal". Based on this ideology, Taoism also attaches importance to the study of the natural environment, and its feng shui theory has benefited people a lot.

The Taoist Canon includes the classic feng shui work The Book of Dwelling and Confucian School's Advocacy of Reason, Compromise and Geomancy for Filial Piety, a work on funeral rituals related to feng shui. The "Nine Stars" theory of the Liqi School of feng shui draws on the Taoist theories of "qi" (vital energy) and "shen" (spirit). The feng shui classic The Green Satchel Cape Classic of the Nine Heavens Mysterious Lady borrows the name of "Xuan Nü" (Mysterious Lady) from the Taoist pantheon. Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Black Tortoise were originally the four directional protective deities in Taoism, and feng shui adopted their names to form the "Four Spirits" model. The "talisman suppression" in feng shui draws on the concept of "talisman suppression" in Taoism, and the "hanging mirror" in feng shui draws on the concept of "demon-exposing mirror" in Taoism.

The borrowing of Taoist theories and methods by feng shui has also led to the emergence of Taoists in Taoism who specialize in the study of feng shui. These Taoists use the extensive folk foundation of Taoism to spread feng shui, and at the same time, use the effect of transforming feng shui to spread Taoism.

The Daoist Path to Harmony

Daoism, China's indigenous spiritual tradition, seeks harmony between humanity and nature through physical cultivation and alignment with natural forces. This pursuit of balance gave birth to Feng Shui (风水), the ancient art of environmental energy flow.

"The Daoist sage does not fight against nature, but flows with its currents. Feng Shui is the practical application of this wisdom in arranging our living spaces."

Feng Shui emerged as a practical extension of Daoist philosophy, translating cosmic principles into guidelines for harmonious living environments that promote health, prosperity, and spiritual growth.
