The Haoran Jin 浩然巾
Paul PengShare
Haoran Jin is a type of headscarf with a long, large cape at the back. Its shape is like the wind hat of today. It is said to be named after the Tang Dynasty poet Meng Haoran, who wore such a headscarf. The inside is padded with cotton to protect against wind and cold. Taoist priests in the north (especially elderly ones) can wear this headscarf in snowy and windy weather in winter.
