What is the Shidao 师刀
Paul PengShare
Shidao refers to the knife used by Taoist masters. One type is a short sword made of brass, with a very blunt blade and an elliptical tip. The handle is strung with copper coins or small iron rings, and its shape is quite strange. The other type is a sharp iron knife, also known as "Wujian" (witch sword), which is shaped somewhere between a ritual sword and a kitchen knife, with the name of Supreme Lord Laozi inscribed on it.
