The doctrinal thought of Taoism takes "Tao" as the core of belief. It explains the relationship between gods and humans through "Tao", illustrates the formation and evolution process of the universe and society, and around the belief in "Tao", it has generated Taoism's own rituals and cultivation methods, as well as stipulated the precepts that Taoists should abide by, etc.
