What is Zhuji 筑基 in Taoism?

Foundation building is the initial practice in Taoist cultivation. It is like building a house: first, you need to lay a solid foundation before you can complete the construction, hence the name "foundation building".

Only with a firm foundation can a house be built stably and tall. By analogy to "alchemy practice", one must first strengthen one's own body, enrich the primordial essence, and then there will be sufficient guarantee when practicing to a higher level.

Therefore, the method of foundation building is the key to internal alchemy cultivation, directly related to the level of future cultivation achievements, and is extremely important.
