What is ZhenDa dao 真大道?
Paul PengShare
Zhenda Dao, also known as "Zhenda Daoism", is a Taoist school founded by Liu Deren during the Jin Dynasty, which became extinct by the end of the Yuan Dynasty. In the second year of Huangtong in the Jin Dynasty (1142), Liu Deren claimed that Supreme Lord Lao descended and granted him Tao Te Ching, and he began to spread the religion. During the Dading period, Zhenda Dao was basically spread throughout the territory of the Jin Dynasty. In the Yuan Dynasty, Da Daoism split into two factions: Tianbao Palace and Yuxu Palace. After the third year of Taiding (1326), it was gradually merged into Quanzhen Daoism.

In terms of internal cultivation, Da Daoism advocated "preserving qi and nourishing spirit", promoted self-reliance, having few desires and little selfishness, and did not talk about ascending to immortality through refinement or living forever. It also incorporated Confucian thoughts into its own system. In addition, Zhenda Dao had a monastic system.
