Hexagram 64 of the 64 Hexagrams: Wei Ji (Unfinished Business)

Hexagram Name:
Wei Ji Hexagram [Middle-Lower Hexagram] Unfinished Business

Image Interpretation:
A person stands several zhang deep from the ground, guarding against those who would sneak into the camp to rob; later, the God of Years is enshrined as an evil spirit, but with constant caution, disasters will not invade.
This hexagram is an overlap of two different trigrams (Kan below, Li above). Li represents fire, and Kan represents water. With fire above and water below, the fire overwhelms the water, meaning the great task of putting out the fire is unfinished—hence the name "Wei Ji" (Unfinished). The I Ching begins with the Qian and Kun hexagrams and ends with Ji Ji (Completion) and Wei Ji (Unfinished), fully reflecting the idea of change and development.

Career
You are at the final critical moment; success or failure lies just ahead. Therefore, you must not let your guard down. Self-restraint is crucial—persist until the end, and if necessary, you may cautiously take moderate risks to achieve your goals.

Business
The market is on the eve of major changes, and the prospects are unclear. This is the most difficult period: keep a calm mind, avoid recklessness, do not overact, exercise moderate restraint, observe trends, and then decide your actions.

Pursuit of Fame
Long-term efforts and pursuits will bear fruit. At the critical moment of success or failure, remain calm, accept fate, and let things take their natural course.

Travel
Taking active action will be very beneficial.

Romance
You have already passed the difficult stage; with one more careful push, you will achieve a happy outcome.

Decision-Making
The meaning of this hexagram is "unfinished," indicating boundless prospects and full potential for development. Therefore, you must adhere to the principle of correctness, and achieve your goals with wisdom, moderation, sincerity, and humility. In the face of life, only by working diligently, doing your utmost, and accepting fate can you avoid excessive concern about success or failure.
