The first half of this scripture is roughly identical to theSupreme Taiqing Scripture of the Heavenly Boys Protecting Life. The latter half incorporates thunder magic incantations, calling upon deities such as Marshal Tianpeng, Marshal Tianyou, the Dark Killer of the Northern Emperor, the Thunder God, and the Lightning Goddess to summon wind, clouds, thunder, and lightning. These incantations are used to command ghosts and spirits, bless those who perform supplication rituals with their names inscribed in the Upper Clear Heaven, rank them among the immortals, and grant all their wishes.
Since most incantations in the text are written in Sanskrit, it is thus named theScripture of the Hidden Brahman Immortal and the Heavenly Boys.
