The Dongshen Section 洞神部

The third section of the Three Caves in the classification system of Taoist scriptures.

Yunji Qiqian (Seven Tablets in a Cloudy Satchel), Volume 6: "Dongshen (Grotto of Spirits) gains its name for the unpredictable power of summoning and controlling ghosts and gods; the teaching of Dongshen takes the Divine Treasure Lord, the founder of the religion, as its manifestation, and the qi of the Supreme Jade Void of Ming Ji Xuan Tong Yuan as its origin."

According to the General Principles of Daozang Scripture Catalogue: Scriptures revealed by Taishang Laojun, the Taoist Master of the Ten Directions, are titled Dongshen Scriptures.

All scriptures attributed to the circulation of Laojun and those compiled by later generations under the pseudonym of Laojun are included.

The Taiqing Section in the Four Assistants serves as its supplement.
