The Jade Casket and Golden Chest
This book is a series of Taoist Internal Alchemy works. It extracts and compiles more than two hundred works on internal alchemy cultivation from before the Ming Dynasty into one collection. Its table of contents appears before the first and third volumes of the handwritten copy.
The book preserves many rare texts not found in the Zhengtong Daozang, such as Caoyi Zi, Annotations to the Ancient Dragon Song by Lord Yin, Directives of the Golden Elixir, Xuanlu Records by Pi Pengtou, Maiwang by Zhao Changxuan, Annotations to the Cantong Qi by Danyang Zi, Poems by Master Yunfang and He Guzi, Poetic Directives of the Golden Elixir by Huiweng, Main Teachings of Meeting a Master at Nanyue, Fragments of the Golden Elixir, Song of Dispelling Delusion by the Grand Supreme Immortal, Scattered Gold by Ge Bai, Collected Odes by Huiweng, Marvelous Unity of Form and Spirit (Upper and Lower Parts), Pure Discussions by the Non-Born Daoist, and others.
The above titles not included in The Daozang are precious materials for the study of Taoist internal alchemy practices from the Song, Jin, Yuan, and Ming dynasties.
