The Shangqing Dongzhen Zhihui Guanshen Dajie Wen 上清洞真智慧观身大戒文

Shangqing Dongzhen Zhihui Guanshen Dajie Wen (The Great Precept Text of Contemplating the Body with Wisdom from the Shangqing True Grotto), one of the early classics of the Shangqing School of Taoism, was presumably compiled during the Eastern Jin and Southern Dynasties (317–589 CE).

It corresponds to the text recorded as "The Great Precept Text of Contemplating the Body with True Grotto Wisdom, in One Roll" in Shangqing Dadong Zhenjing Mu (Catalogue of the True Scripture of the Great Cavern of Shangqing).

The surviving version is included in the Zhengyi Section of the Daozang (Taoist Canon).

The entire text is also reproduced in Volume 45 of Wushang MiYao (The Supreme Secret Essentials).

This work contains the "Jade Pure Wisdom Precepts" (also known as the Contemplating the Body Precepts), consisting of 180 Precepts of the Lower Yuan, 216 Precepts of the Middle Yuan, and 300 Precepts of the Upper Yuan, totaling 696 precepts.

It is claimed that these precepts were transmitted by Taishang Gaosheng Daojun (Supreme High Sage Dao Lord) to Yuanshi Tianwang (Primordial Heavenly King), who then passed them down to Taiwei Tiandi (Heavenly Emperor of the Grand Mystery) and Taiji Gaoxian (High Immortals of the Supreme Ultimate). All practitioners of Taoism are expected to uphold and venerate these precepts.
