Records of the Golden Truth of the Jade Seal from the Supreme Golden Tower of Shangqing (Shàngqīng Tàiyī Jīnquè Yùxǐ Jīnzhēn Jì). The author is unknown, and it is believed to have been compiled during the Northern and Southern Dynasties or the Sui-Tang period.
Excerpts titled Records of the Golden Truth of Taiyi (Tàiyī Jīnzhēn Jì) in Volume 5 of Pearl Sack of the Three Grottoes (Sāndòng Zhūnáng) compiled by Wang Xuanhe of the Tang Dynasty, and Volume 2 of Classified Matters of Shangqing Taoism (Shàngqīng Dào Lèi Shìxiàng) refer to this very text.
In the present-day Daoist Canon (Dàozàng), it is included in the Divine Talismans category of the Dongxuan Grotto (Dòngxuán Bù).
This text compiles more than ten types of talismans from Northern and Southern Dynasties Daoist scriptures, detailing methods of cultivation, visualization (cún sī), and ingestion of talismans (fú fú).
The talismans recorded herein include the "Life-Extending Immortal Ascension Talisman" (Dùmìng Fēixiān Fú), "World-Transcending Talisman" (Dùshì Fú), "Immortal Birth Talisman" (Xiānshēng Fú), "Heaven-Ascending Talisman" (Shēngtiān Fú), "Sin-Ablating Talisman" (Chúguò Fú), and "Dragon's Secret Tiger Talisman" (Lóngmì Hǔfú), among others.
Additionally, there are talismans such as the "Nine Realms Life-Invigorating Talisman" (Shēnglíng Jiǔyǒu Fú), "All-Disease-Curing Talisman" (Chú Bǎibìng Fú), and "Clairvoyance Talisman" (Dáshì Fú), for which only names are preserved without the corresponding talisman scripts.
