A traveler passes by a single-log bridge, with fear in the heart and caution in the eyes. Moving swiftly and resolutely can get one across; moving slowly will surely bring insecurity. This hexagram is formed by the overlapping of two different trigrams: Gen (Mountain) below and Zhen (Thunder) above. Gen represents the mountain, and Zhen represents thunder. Thunder crashing over the mountain is something that cannot but be feared. Yang is considered major, Yin is minor. In this hexagram, the four Yin lines on the outside exceed the two Yang lines in the middle, hence it is called "Xiao Guo" (Minor Excess), meaning a slight overstepping.
Career:
