What is Nayin Five Elements?

The so-called Nayin Five Elements refer to the five-element attributes of the year fate Nayin. The Chinese lunar calendar uses the Stem-Branch system for chronology. That is, ten Heavenly Stems ("Jia, Yi, Bing, Ding, Wu, Ji, Geng, Xin, Ren, Gui") and twelve Earthly Branches ("Zi, Chou, Yin, Mao, Chen, Si, Wu, Wei, Shen, You, Xu, Hai") are used to represent the state of years, months, days, and hours.

The Nayin Five Elements are new five elements obtained after integrating the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches. The Heavenly Stems have their own five-element attributes, and the Earthly Branches also have their own five-element attributes. When the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches are combined, they become new five elements, known as the "Nayin Five Elements".

Roadside, city wall, and post road earth, these three earths fear water's rush.
There are three kinds not afraid of water, rising high in life, noble and fine.
Sand and sword blade gold, if in the east, they clash and combine.
Four other kinds of gold should shun fire, without fire, sword and sand lose their design.
Water meets celestial and sea's flow, these two don't fear earth as foe.
Other kinds fear earth, life's wealth hard to come by, you know.
Pine, willow, mulberry wood, pomegranate and big forest dread the gold sword.
Only flat ground wood stands serene, without gold, it can't reach the high road.
Buddha lamp, stove, and mountain top fire, these three fear water's tide.
