The Sun Mantra
O Marshal of the Sun Star, your might echoes through Fusang.
Bearing the Heavenly Edict of Thundering Power, you wield the thunder and lightning.
Receive the flying talisman, heed the call—act swiftly and faithfully.

In Taoism, the sun is regarded as the Sun Deity. Legend has it that the full title of the Sun Deity is "Sun Palace Supreme Cinnabar Blazing Radiance Luminous Sun Emperor" (Rigong Taidan Yangguang Yuming Taiyang Dijun), also known as "Sun Palace Sun Emperor, Filial Piety Immortal Lord" (Rigong Taiyang Dijun Xiaodao Xianwang). The deity governs the "Bright Yang Yu Yi Palace" (Dongyang Yuyi Gong) and oversees the Twenty-Eight Lunar Mansions (constellations) and the Heavenly Ministry (Tiancao, an administrative body in Taoist cosmology). Its primary duties include granting longevity and prosperity, examining the merits and sins of humans, and submitting to the Supreme Deity (Shangdi) the birth registers of all living beings within its jurisdiction.
This Sun Mantra mainly praises the Sun Deity. Its general meaning is: O Sun, Marshal among all stars, your fame resounds mightily in the land of Fusang. You can uphold the edicts of the Heavenly Emperor and wield thunder and lightning with righteous power. Now, you shall quickly receive the divine talisman, obey this command, and act without delay.
