How to check if the feng shui of your home is good?

Nowadays, when people purchase house, in addition to factors such as floor level, location, and price, they also consider the feng shui of the rooms. The quality of a room's feng shui is related to the overall fortune development of the residents. Therefore, people will assess the feng shui when buying or building a house. In fact, the quality of a home's feng shui can be judged from multiple aspects. So, how should one determine whether their home's feng shui is good?

1.Natural Light
To judge the feng shui of a home, one can observe the natural light. Under normal circumstances, a residence with good feng shui has sufficient sunlight and strong yang energy. If the interior is exposed to sunlight for a long time, feeling warm, dry, and comfortable, the feng shui is definitely not bad. If the home rarely gets sunlight, with heavy yin and dampness creating a cold and gloomy atmosphere, it indicates poor feng shui. Additionally, if there are large factories, funeral homes, or crematoriums around the home, the feng shui situation will be particularly terrible.

2. Reactions of Animals
The quality of a home's feng shui is often imperceptible to humans after short-term occupancy; it takes long-term living to sense changes in one's fortune. If no action is taken, it may be too late. However, animals differ from humans—they can detect feng shui quality as soon as they enter the home. If cats, dogs, or birds become restless, listless, or show signs of aversion after entering, it suggests poor feng shui. Conversely, if they appear active and energetic, it indicates relatively better feng shui.

3. Feng Shui Auspicious Objects
Another way to assess home feng shui is to check for auspicious feng shui items. If there are many properly arranged feng shui objects in the house, the home's 气场 (aura) and fortune will generally be good. For example, placing pi xiu (a mythical wealth-collecting creature) or golden toad ornaments can attract wealth, ensuring a steady flow of financial luck. Installing peach wood decorations at the entrance can ward off evil spirits, enhance the family's aura, and protect them from misfortune.

4. Plant Growth
Observing the growth of plants is also a way to gauge feng shui. In homes with good feng shui, air circulates smoothly, and overall conditions are excellent, providing a superior environment for plant growth. Such plants appear vibrant and full of vitality. In contrast, poor feng shui makes it difficult to keep plants alive—even with careful care, they may wither and die over time. If most plants in the home grow poorly, it is necessary to take timely measures to resolve the issues and improve the living environment.
