Deng Yi était originaire de Guhong sous la dynastie Yuan .

Son nom de courtoisie était Yanghao, et son nom littéraire (hao) était Nanyangzi.

Son père l'avait d'abord appelé Ximeng. En grandissant, il a changé lui-même son prénom en Yi.

Lors de son voyage et de son séjour à Yuzhang, Chen Zhixu prit Deng Yi comme disciple ; Chen lui enseigna ensuite. La connaissance ésotérique de Qingcheng (un texte taoïste associé à la montagne Qingcheng , un site sacré du taoïsme ).

Paul Peng is a Zhengyi Taoist priest from Longhu Mountain, Jiangxi — the ancestral home of the Celestial Masters' tradition. Ordained at 25 after a dream from the Celestial Master, he has practiced for 25 years under Master Zeng Guangliang. He is one of the curators of this store, which is officially authorized by Tianshi Fu. All items are consecrated at the temple by the resident priest team.
