Ming Suchan était une figure de la dynastie Yuan et un prêtre taoïste officiellement affilié au mont Jiugong.

Son nom d'origine était Ming Zong, et son nom littéraire (hao) était Zongyangzi.

Il fut l'élève de Chen Zhixu. Plus tard, admiratif des doctrines et pratiques taoïstes de Bai Yuchan (un maître taoïste renommé de l' école du Sud ), il changea son nom de naissance en Ming Suchan.

Ordained at 25 after a dream from the Celestial Master, he has practiced for 25 years under Master Zeng Guangliang.
