Shangqing Dongtian Sanwu Jingang Xuanlu Yi Jing (The Ritual Scripture of the Mysterious Talisman of the Three-Five Vajras from the Shangqing Grotto-Heaven). The author is unknown.
Judging from its content and textual style, it was presumably compiled by a Zhengyi Taoist priest in the late Northern and Southern Dynasties or during the transition between the Sui and Tang dynasties.
The scripture contains several types of Taoist talismanic rituals and ceremonial protocols, including:
- Dingtian Sanwu Jingang Xuanlu (The Mysterious Talisman of the Three-Five Vajras from the Grotto-Heaven): It records the names and numbers of generals, spiritual officials, and troops from the Nine Heavens of the Shangyuan (First Yuan). It is claimed that those who receive and swear allegiance to this talisman in accordance with the rituals can obtain protection from celestial officials and troops, eliminate disasters and dispel misfortunes, and save lives from calamities.
- Dingtian Wu Jiangjun Fu (The Talismans of the Five Generals from the Grotto-Heaven): It contains talismanic diagrams, divine portraits, and oath protocols for receiving talismans related to divine generals such as Jingang (Vajra), Tiangang (Heavenly Vajra), and Yuangang (Primordial Vajra). Receiving these talismans can dispel various disasters.
- Additional texts: Shangyuan Dongtian Jingang Sanwu Ceban Zhang Yi (The Ritual of the Three-Five Strategy Tablets and Staffs of the Vajras from the Shangyuan Grotto-Heaven) and Fudu Wu Zhang Fengchu Guan Yi (The Ritual of Conferring the Five Chapters and Presenting Official Documents). These texts record the design of strategy tablets, presentation of memorials, contracts, seals, and their corresponding transmission rituals.
