Wang Qingzheng vécut au début de la dynastie Qing , et son nom de courtoisie était Laiyang.

Il était un disciple direct de Ma Zhenyi, successeur de la tradition doctrinale de la secte Longmen . Lorsque Sun Zongwu se trouvait à Huayang, il était déjà ami avec Wang Qingzheng.

Comme indiqué dans Guangyang Zaji (Notes diverses de Guangyang) Le temple Baiyun Guan (Temple du Nuage Blanc), situé dans la capitale, fut détruit à la fin de la dynastie Ming . Au début de la dynastie Qing, Wang Qingzheng s'y installa et le restaura. La lignée taoïste de Baiyun Guan, affiliée à l'école Longmen, est considérée comme ayant été fondée par Wang Qingzheng.
