Zhang Heng (?-179), appelé Lingzhen, également Ziping, était originaire de Feng dans Peiguo (aujourd'hui comté de Feng, province du Jiangsu).

Il était le fils de Zhang Ling , fondateur de l' école Zhengyi du taoïsme. Il hérita de la carrière de son père, pratiqua les arts taoïstes et transmit les préceptes du taoïsme des Cinq Boisseaux de Riz.


Dans le taoïsme, il est appelé « Maître Successeur ». On dit qu'il atteignit le Tao et monta au ciel la deuxième année de l'ère Guanghe de l'empereur Ling de la dynastie Han. Généalogie des Maîtres Célestes Han
