Zhang Yangang était un prêtre taoïste du mont Longhu , dans la province du Jiangxi, à la fin de la dynastie Song et au début de la dynastie Yuan .

Au cours de la 10e année du règne de Dade (1306), il fut officiellement nommé « Maître du Dharma Chongwen Xuanyi Mingdao » et occupa le poste de Tipian chargé des affaires du palais au palais Xitaiyi du circuit de Hangzhou.

Au cours de la première année du règne de Zhida (1308), il fut réaffecté au poste de Zhuchi Tipian (administrateur en chef) du palais de Zongyang du circuit de Hangzhou.
