This scripture is mainly intended for curing eye disorders. It states that if people in the mortal world disrespect the Three Jewels, or are entangled by karmic grievances and curses, their eyes will become blurred and they will be unable to see clearly. The Primeval Lord of Heaven opened the gate of compassion and preached this scripture to deliver all sentient beings. If the sufferers can set up Taoist altars and recite this scripture repeatedly, the Twelve Boys including the Golden Light Boy, the Sunlight Boy and the Moonlight Boy will come to them, curing their illnesses and restoring their eyesight to clarity.
