Wang Ruohai était un personnage de l'ère Jianlong de la dynastie Song .
Il reçut le titre de « Maître Chongxuan » et se vit remettre une écharpe violette bordée d'or (symbole de haut honneur dans la Chine ancienne ).
Il occupa la fonction d'abbé du palais Taiyi sur le mont Hua et occupa le poste de maître du Dharma des Trois Grandes Grottes Pittoresques de la tradition Shangqing.
