Lingyang Ziming was a native of this village and enjoyed fishing at Xuanxi. He caught a white dragon — one of the sacred creatures of the Taoist celestial order — and Ziming became frightened; he unfastened the hook, bowed to it, and released it. Later, he caught a white fish, which had a scroll in its belly that taught Ziming the method of taking elixirs for longevity. Ziming then went up to Huangshan Mountain, gathered five kinds of mineral powders for Taoist alchemical practice, boiled water, and took them as instructed. After three years, a dragon came to welcome him away, and he remained on Lingyang Mountain for more than one hundred years as a Taoist immortal. The mountain was over a thousand zhang away from the ground. He shouted to those below, ordering them to ascend halfway up the mountain and told them: "Zhong Zan will come to ask whether Zi Ming's fishing cart is still there." More than twenty years later, Zan died and was buried at the foot of Shishan. A yellow crane came, perched on a tree beside his tomb, and cried out the name Zan as it called.

Lingyang fished with a dangling line, when a white dragon took the hook in its mouth. In the end he obtained an auspicious fish; through this, he cultivated spiritual practices and attained transcendence.
