Rongcheng Gong was a man who claimed to be the teacher of Huangdi, and he appeared before King Mu of Zhou. He was skilled in matters of guidance and instruction. He extracted essence from the xuanpin, whose key principle is the valley spirit that does not die — as expressed in the Tao Te Ching; this refers to one who protects life and nurtures vital energy. White hair turned black again, and fallen teeth grew anew. He was on equal footing with Laozi, and it is also said that he was a teacher of Laozi.

Wenwen Rongcheng, focused his vital energy to attain gentleness. He attained the One in ancient times, containing radiance and wandering alone. His Way penetrated Huangting; Boyang looked up to him as a peer. The gate of xuanpin, perhaps it can be sought — a path of merit and virtue that leads to true immortality.
